Workflow design

Today’s digital filmmaking offers a broad variety of film and digital cameras, each with its own colorimetry, image rendition and metadata structure. Understanding each step of the colour pipeline is the key to successfully deliver the creative intent from set to the last stage of post production.
Together with the lab and the Post production supervisor, the DIT is involved in the early stages of pre-production to design a bespoke workflow including  camera recording settings, metadata delivery, backup strategies, media recycling and on set monitoring.
